The series delivers the long-awaited rematch between Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen's Darth Vader, a confrontation charged with decades of shared history, betrayal, and heartbreak. Vivien Lyra Blair is captivating as a fiercely clever young Leia, while Moses Ingram's Inquisitor Reva provides a morally complex antagonist with her own secret agenda. Andor is a gritty, grounded political thriller set five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Season 1 follows Cassian Andor — a cynical, morally flexible thief with a murky past — as a chance encounter with Imperial forces throws him into the orbit of Luthen Rael, a seasoned revolutionary who is quietly weaving together the cells that will eventually become the Rebel Alliance. Season 2 completes the journey, compressing the final four years leading directly into the events of Rogue One across twelve tightly plotted episodes released in weekly batches of three. Ahsoka's search is complicated by the reappearance of Sabine Wren, her reluctant Mandalorian apprentice, and the villainous Morgan Elsbeth, who is racing to locate Thrawn first. The series draws heavily on the animated legacy of Star Wars Rebels, functioning almost as a live-action continuation of that beloved story.

Rosario Dawson portrays Ahsoka with quiet intensity, and the series reunites much of the Rebels cast — Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, and Lars Mikkelsen reprising his iconic role as Thrawn. A standout episode takes Ahsoka to the mystical realm of the World Between Worlds, where she encounters the spirit of her former master Anakin Skywalker, played once again by Hayden Christensen. Dave Filoni, who co-created Ahsoka as a character for The Clone Wars in 2008, wrote all eight episodes of Season 1, making this deeply personal chapter a love letter to decades of animated storytelling finally rendered in live action.

The Acolyte is set approximately 100 years before the events of The Phantom Menace, during the High Republic era — a golden age when the Jedi Order was at the height of its power and the Sith were believed to be extinct. The series centers on Osha, a former Jedi Padawan, who becomes entangled in a string of murders targeting Jedi Masters. The investigation leads her Jedi mentor Master Sol and his colleagues on a collision course with a mysterious, masked Sith warrior whose existence challenges everything the Jedi believe about the dark side — and raises profound questions about the Order's own past mistakes.

Created by Leslye Headland, The Acolyte features Amandla Stenberg in a dual role as twin sisters Osha and Mae, with Carrie-Anne Moss, Lee Jung-jae, and Manny Jacinto rounding out an international cast. The show explores how the Sith survived in secret and how a coven of dark-side witches on the planet Brendok connects to both sisters' tragic origins. Though cancelled after a single season due to mixed ratings, The Acolyte was notable for its bold visual style, its willingness to complicate the Jedi's heroic reputation, and its exploration of an era of Star Wars history never before depicted in live action.

Skeleton Crew is a coming-of-age adventure set in the same post-Return of the Jedi era as The Mandalorian, following four children from the safe, sheltered world of At Attin who accidentally end up stranded in the dangerous wider galaxy after stumbling upon a mysterious spaceship. The series channels the spirit of 1980s adventure films — think The Goonies or Stand By Me set in a galaxy far, far away — as the kids must navigate a chaotic underworld they never knew existed and find their way home while discovering that both the galaxy and their own small world hold far deeper secrets than they imagined.

At the center of the story is Jod Na Nawood, a charming and morally ambiguous pirate played by Jude Law, who becomes the children's reluctant guide through the galactic underworld. Created by Jon Watts — director of the Marvel Spider-Man trilogy — and Christopher Ford, the show was praised for its warm, nostalgic tone and the genuinely compelling performances of its young leads. Skeleton Crew is the most tonally distinct entry in the Disney+ Star Wars lineup — a joyful, heartfelt adventure built for both children and the adults who grew up loving the original films.
